Half-length, Documentary, 1998, 35 min.
Sarita Colonia was a humble young girl of the peruvian highlands that spent her life helping and attending the poor of Lima. She died in 1940, 24 years old. As time passed by, her grave became a worshipping and pilgrimage place cause of the miracles she began to carry out for the neediest people. This documentary just not tells the story of Sarita, narrated by her siblings, it also explores the cult to this saint, not recognize by the Catholic Church, through the migratory process she was part of. Her sufferings, privations and intents to survive in the capital transform Sarita in symbol for thousands of migrants that today worship her.
