She is an artist, filmmaker and film curator based in Los Angeles. Her artistic practice, rooted in the traditions of documentary and experimental cinema, explores the psycho-geography of the place, memory, indigenous and diasporic communities, and postcolonial dynamics in America. Her work frequently reports on her personal journey and her own biography. Andrea is in charge of the Bernardo Batievsky family archive.
Andrea’s films have been exhibited at the Flaherty Seminar NYC, BAFICI, Museode Arte de Lima, LACE Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Zinebi Bilbao, Matadero Madrid, REDCAT, Lima Film Festival, Santiago International Film Festival, Cineteca Nacional de Mexico , Metropolitan Museum of Lima, among other festivals. He earned an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
